Our commitment

Amlea Behavioral Healthcare aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA for this website, and we treat accessibility as part of ordinary maintenance rather than a one-time project.

What we have done

• Semantic HTML with one main heading per page, landmark regions and descriptive link text
• Text alternatives for meaningful images, and empty alternatives for decorative ones
• Form fields with visible labels, clear error messages and a confirmation state
• Keyboard support for navigation, menus, expandable questions and the Start Here tool, with visible focus indicators
• Color contrast chosen for readability, and layouts that reflow on phones and when text is enlarged
• Reduced-motion support: animations are minimized when your device asks for it
• A plain-language writing style, and breadcrumbs so you always know where you are

Known limitations

• The homepage hero image contains text as part of the artwork on larger screens. The same text is provided in the image description and as real text on smaller screens.
• Appointment requests are completed in a third-party client portal (SimplePractice). We do not control its accessibility. If the portal is difficult to use, call us and we will complete the request with you.
• Some downloadable documents provided during care may not yet be fully accessible. Ask us for an alternative format.
