Website privacy notice

This notice explains what happens to information when you use amleacare.com. It covers the website only. Information you share as a client of Amlea Behavioral Healthcare is governed by our Notice of Privacy Practices, provided when you begin care.

What this website collects

amleacare.com is a static informational website. It does not require an account, and Amlea's own pages do not set cookies, except the Google Ads measurement cookies described below for visitors who arrive from a Google ad or click an appointment button. Like every website, our hosting provider (Netlify) records basic technical information about requests, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, in server logs used to operate and secure the site.

Google Ads appointment measurement

Amlea advertises on Google. To learn whether those ads lead to appointment requests, the site loads the Google Ads tag (from googletagmanager.com) with the following limits:

  • Google is notified only when you click a button that opens our secure appointment portal. Ordinary page views are not reported.
  • The page address and page title sent with that notice are replaced with our home page address and practice name, so Google does not learn which page or article you were reading.
  • Ad personalization and remarketing are turned off. Visits to this website are not used to build advertising audiences or to follow you with ads.
  • If you arrived by clicking a Google ad, the site stores that ad's click code in a cookie (_gcl_aw) so a later appointment click can be matched to the ad. When you click an appointment button, Google may also set a measurement cookie (_gcl_au). These cookies contain no health or contact information.
  • No names, emails, phone numbers, form answers, Start Here answers or health information are sent to Google.

Google processes this technical data, including your IP address, under its own privacy policy. You can block it with your browser's privacy or tracker-blocking settings without affecting how the site works.

What this website does not do

  • It does not load social-media trackers, remarketing pixels, session-recording tools or chat widgets.
  • It does not send your form answers, health information, name, email or phone number to analytics or advertising services.
  • It does not place health information in web addresses or query strings.

The site also includes a small script that records generic interaction events (for example, "appointment button clicked" or "phone link clicked") into the page's own memory. These events contain the page address and title only, never form contents or your answers in the Start Here tool. Apart from the appointment-click notice described above, no analytics or advertising service receives them.

The Start Here tool

The guided matcher on /start-here/ runs entirely in your browser. Your answers are not stored, transmitted or shared, and they are cleared when you leave the page. It is a navigation aid and not a diagnostic tool.

Campaign attribution

If you arrive from a link that includes campaign codes (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign), the site keeps those three values in your browser's session storage for the duration of your visit so that generic events can be attributed to the campaign. These values are not combined with any personal or health information and are not passed to our scheduling system.

Requesting an appointment

Appointment requests are handled in our secure, HIPAA-compliant client portal operated by SimplePractice (amlea-care.clientsecure.me). Information you enter there is protected under that system and under Amlea's Notice of Privacy Practices. The portal has its own privacy policy, which we encourage you to read.

The general-questions form

The message form on the contact page is for general, non-clinical questions. It is processed by our website host (Netlify Forms) and delivered to the CareTeam. Because this form is not part of our clinical record system, please do not include health information, symptoms, diagnoses or details about a patient in it. If you need to share clinical information, use the secure portal or call us.

Fonts and third-party resources

Pages load typefaces from Google Fonts. Your browser requests those font files directly from Google, which may record technical request data under Google's privacy policy. The only other third-party resource is the Google Ads tag described above.

Links to other sites

This site links to Heart Galleries of Texas, Carry Good Forward Foundation and our scheduling portal. Those sites have their own privacy practices.

Children

This website is intended for adults, including parents and guardians seeking care for children. It does not knowingly collect information from children.
